Most plans are either cookie cutter or unsustainably intense. This isn’t that.
The Distance Project is low-volume, high-impact. It’s grounded in 30+ ultramarathons of real-world experience and built to adapt to your life—not derail it.
You’ll train smarter, not harder. You’ll develop strength, running fitness, fuelling precision, and a mindset that can carry you through a distance that you've only dreamed of.
Not at all.
You’ll be guided into one of three tiers (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) based on your previous running capacity.
If you’ve never done more than 10km before—perfect.
If you’ve done marathons or ultras—also perfect.
The Distance Project has helped a number of people go from never having run more than 10k to doing their first 50km run in 30 days.
This is about going further than you’ve ever gone—whatever that looks like for you.
Roughly 4–6 hours total, split across 5 sessions (3 runs, 2 lifts).
Each session is 45–60 mins.
There’s also optional breathwork, recovery, and walking sessions that you can integrate as lifestyle upgrades.
To complete your longest-ever run at the end of 30 days.
That could be 20km, 50km, or more—done solo, without race pressure, on a route you choose.
But the real goal? Becoming someone who does hard things on purpose.
Someone who redefines what’s possible.
No problem. The Distance Project is flexible.
Whether it’s a short trail race or a full ultra, we can adapt your training to peak for that event or use it as part of your long-run build-up.
Either way, you’ll learn how to prepare for an ultra and create a bulletproof race strategy that works for you.
Yes. You’ll be part of a private WhatsApp community with fellow challengers, a fortnightly check-in for Q&A, mindset shifts, and guidance from Giles.
